VIN and VCP Scanner - Your Alliance Will Hold No More Secrets
Two handy tools to help you understand your Alliance.
On this page, we offer two tools to decode VINs and VCPs, ONLY for Renault Alliance and Encore vehicles.
- The Vehicle Identification Number is a unique serial number that will give you, among other things, the following information: Manufacturer, model, year, trim level, and engine of your Alliance.
- The Vehicle Code will tell you the options, colors, convertible top tint, etc.
You will also find on this page some freely read technical documents (PR, PC7, PC5) which will give you even more information.

Decoding the serial number (VIN : Vehicle Identification Number)
The VIN is 17 characters long and is located under the hood and on the instrument cluster hood, visible through the windshield. And it might also be on your vehicle registration certificate!
Decoding Option plate
The VCP plate is located under the hood on the left shock absorber turret.
Choose your year and enter the information found on the plate.
